I had a cracking time with Wazdan’s Eggs of Fortune while playing it at some online casinos. This retro-styled slot has several additional game mechanics, so gameplay never gets boring. I found this slot to be both a double-yolker and a rotten egg at points. With so many mechanics adding elements to the gameplay, new players may find it a bit tricky at first to get the hang of, but once they do, time on this slot game will fly by!

Here Are Some Screenshots I Took of the Game
I have very mixed feelings on the visuals of Eggs of Fortune. In some places, it looks like a slot machine you might find at a local pub back in the noughties, and in others, it has detailed and smooth animations along with very strong graphics. The main screen itself is very retro and doesn’t really convey the egg theme initially; instead, it has visuals of molten rock.
The egg theme comes from the sticky eggs, which hatch into Phoenixes, tying in nicely to the molten rock theme. However, it's not presented immediately, which may put some players off. I think this is also true of having a retro feel, until the Phoenix hatches, which uses very clean and modern animations.
This is where the game risks either pleasing fans of both retro slots and modern renditions or pleasing neither. Personally, the Phoenix animation really stood out to me, and I would’ve preferred if they leaned more into this side of the visuals.

Should You Play the Eggs of Fortune Slot?
Yes, you should. Eggs of Fortune has so much to offer players. It’s like someone offering you so many gifts that they crumble under the weight of their generosity. Eggs of Fortune felt like that to me at points, as it has so many great features that it can be difficult to keep track of them.
The collector’s symbol is a great addition that adds a lot of potential value and fun to the game. This is the same with the free spins, but they both have so much going on that the screen can look overstimulating, and it can be easy to lose track of what’s going on, even if you’re winning.
Being able to adjust the volatility is a fantastic option to give players, letting them control how they would like to play. I was more confused by this modern gameplay, coupled with its mainly retro visuals. Whilst I do think the gameplay is fantastic, I’m not quite sure why they made it look so retro and what it is exactly that they were going for.
- Fantastic depth to the collectors symbol
- Free spins feel very lucrative
- Adjustable volatility
- A mix of retro and modern design that didn’t quite work for me
- So many special features, it’s a bit hard to keep track
- Screen can look incredibly busy
How to Place Your First Bet on Eggs of Fortune?
If you’d like to have a cracking time with Eggs of Fortune, take a look at this handy guide:
First, you’ll need to hunt for a casino that carries Eggs of Fortune. We have a handy list of casinos, along with our own verdict on each casino.
Next, sign in or sign up, depending on whether you have an account already. If you do, jump to step 4. If you’re yet to make one, whack the ‘Register’ or ‘Sign Up’ button, normally located at the top of the homepage.
When creating an account, you’ll be asked to enter your personal information (like your name, date of birth and email address) and to create a strong password. After this, you’ll need to complete KYC checks to verify your identity.

My First Moments Playing Eggs of Fortune
Upon opening up Eggs of Fortune, I was reminded of classic retro slots and found myself intrigued by what the eggs had to offer. As I played further, I was pleasantly surprised by how many special features the game included, many of which add interesting dynamics to the slot’s gameplay.
When I hatched my first egg, I thought the Phoenix animations were really well done and I was impressed. However, with the Phoenix’s visuals being so high-quality, it did make me wish that the other graphics were done in the same style.
A Design I Didn’t Find Eggscellent
Eggs of Fortune plays like an incredibly modern slot game, with bonus modes and plenty of special features. There seems to be more of a focus on triggering the bonus features rather than playing a simple spin and win style slot, hoping to hit a match on the paylines.
This doesn’t translate over to the design. I found that it looks like a classic slot game at points and has so much going on visually at others. I didn’t quite get what this mix of contrasting styles was trying to achieve, but the gameplay of Eggs of Fortune is fantastic and made up for this juxtaposition in themes.
Let's Talk About the Bonus Games You'll Find
Not to sound like a broken record, but Eggs of Fortune offers many features to keep the game dynamic. This includes collector symbols, cash symbols, scatter symbols, wilds, cash out feature, jackpot symbols and a bonus buy option. I thought all of these features transformed the game and never left gameplay stagnant, but this was also a lot to keep track of.
I could definitely see newer players being overwhelmed with this slot, as there really is so much happening here. These are very modern features for a game with a mostly retro design, which does hurt that aesthetic too. You can find all descriptions of these features in the pay table, accessed by clicking the information button when in-game.

Collector Symbols
The collector symbols are, of course, the eggs, my favourite part of the game, and there’s a lot going on with them. When you collect one in a spin, it goes to the top of the reel and is assigned a number from 1 to 10. This number refers to the spin limit before you can redeem the egg, which can only be done in the free spins bonus round. During this number of spins, if you hit a cash symbol or jackpot symbol in the same column as a collector symbol, the collector symbol will collect that value and allow you to redeem that amount when its number of spins run out.
In free spins, not only can you redeem collector symbols, but if you hit an egg while you already have one active, the number on the new egg will be added to the active egg’s spin limit. This feature is filled with potential value and really does add to the excitement of Eggs of Fortune.

Cash Symbols
These symbols have cash values attached to a small gold coin, added to the collector symbols during the free spins round. They can award between 1x to 10x your bet, which can only be claimed by the collector symbol. They still appear in the base play, but are only there to add to the collector eggs before then activating the free spins. I found that the combination of a cash symbol and a collector symbol was very exciting.

Scatter Symbols
The scatter symbols are large golden stars that grant free spins when you hit three or more in any part of the grid. Three symbols will earn you ten spins, four will earn you 20, and five will earn you 30. During free spins, you can still hit scatters, which will credit you with even more free spins.

Wilds
The wild symbols, which look like a cluster of molten rock and gems, substitute themselves for any of the other symbols, excluding special symbols, like the scatters, cash, collectors or jackpots. I always like wild symbols, but in this game, it feels like one of the least exciting features, simply because there are so many more that add new dynamics to gameplay.

Cash Out
Cash outs appear as blue or red boxes that outline a reel position. There are two types of cash-out labels that can appear randomly on a reel and will stick around for 15 spins. If a gold coin or any of the jackpot symbols appear in the cash-out section, as soon as the spin countdown reaches zero, the symbol prize is paid out. If one of these appears in the fire cash-out section, when the spin countdown runs out, you’ll get the sum of their values paid out. These can add huge amounts of value to a collector symbol, and I thoroughly enjoyed their inclusion.

Jackpot Symbols
There are four types of jackpot symbols which appear as colourful discs in purple, red, green, and blue and are labelled as mega, major, minor, and mini. Which can win you x20, x50, x100, and x250 your bet, respectively. These can only be won through the aid of the collector symbols or cash outs and feel amazing if you hit one.

Bonus Buy
Eggs of Fortune includes a bonus buy feature where you can receive the following bonuses:
x50 your bet you can get ten free spins, and collector symbol with a spin limit of five spins
x100 your bet you get ten free spins and two collector symbols with a spin limit of five spins
x200 your bet you earn 20 free spins, one collector symbol with a spin limit of five spins and another with a no spin limit at all
x500 your bet you’ll receive 20 free spins and two collector symbols with no spin limit
x1000 your bet you’ll be awarded with 30 free spins and three collector symbols with no spin limit
I think that these are worth purchasing as they offer some really good potential value, but x1000 your initial bet, is a large sum.
Some Technical Considerations About Eggs of Fortune
By looking at the best technical documents we have, I found that Eggs of Fortune has some unique mechanical features behind the game. Here you can adjust the game’s volatility itself, like some sort of mad god who has dominion over all things. With this feature, you can choose between low, medium and high volatility. This refers to how often a game theoretically pays out and how much it does. Hypothetically, low-volatility games will payout often but in smaller amounts, and games with high volatility will payout less often but in bigger sums. The choice to customise this is really good to see, and a distinctive unique feature.
They also include a gamble feature, whereby you can choose to risk your win for a chance to double it. I recommend this feature for the more experienced players that enjoy the thrill.
Eggs of Fortune has a theoretical Return To Player percentage of 96.12%. An RTP refers to the theoretical percentage of your funds that playing the game should give back to you. I would recommend that you don’t play anything lower than an RTP of 94%. In my experience, Eggs of Fortune felt like it had a much higher RTP than 96.12%, paying out frequently on a medium volatility, but this might not be the same for everyone.
Why Do I Think Eggs of Fortune Stands Out?
Ultimately, I think that the positives far outweigh the negatives for Eggs of Fortune. This slot is one of the most unique slot games I have played, thanks to its collectors symbol and free spins feature. Being able to adjust the volatility feels incredibly significant, giving the player the option to control how they want the game to play.
Whilst the mix of retro and modern design may not work for me personally, as I think that the screen can look busy, that is only the visual side of things. At the end of the day, interesting and quality gameplay is more important to me. I think the number of and depth of the game mechanics may be a little difficult for newer players to get to grips with, but once they do, they will really enjoy what Eggs of Fortune has to offer.
