Strictly Come Dancing Betting Sites

The results took an interesting direction from week one. Two footballers, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Karen Carney, made it into the top three. This sent shockwaves through the nation, as their demographic has historically struggled to swap football boots for Cuban heels. For the first time in years the elimination system has undergone a makeover, redistributing decision-making power evenly across all the judges. This gives bettors yet another thing to consider - lucky for you, I’ve created this guide on who I think will lift the glitter ball trophy.

As the show is currently running, these odds are subject (and likely) to change. They’re assessed after every episode and likely to be volatile before they settle down towards the end of the season.

What’s Happened So Far on Strictly Come Dancing?

Before the first star hit the stage, drama had already struck. Dani Dyer dropped out days before the first show due to fracturing her ankle in training. She was replaced by Amber Davies, who performed a beautiful waltz with 24 hours’ notice.Ā Kristian Nairn, Irish DJ and actor best known for his portrayal of Hodor in Game of Thrones, had to withdraw from the show in late August. Unforeseen medical reasons struck, which left viewers and Nairn himself with a heavy heart. He released a statement expressing love to everyone concerned, promising that he’ll be back on his feet soon ā€œ...in every sense.ā€

Last week we waved goodbye to Thomas Skinner, whose paso doble and stompy salsa failed to wow the judges. With Skinner out of the running, the remaining 14 couples face even more scrutiny than ever - from the audience and the bookies.

Strictly Come Dancing Schedule

Strictly is treating us to a glamorous show every day until Christmastime.Ā Tune in to BBC Two every weeknight at 6:30 to catch It Takes Two, which features interviews with all the couples and a taste of what’s going on backstage.Ā On the weekend, we’re back to the ballroom: the main show is every Saturday night at 6:05 and the results air the day after on Sunday at 7:15. Both weekend shows are aired on BBC One.Ā Licence paying viewers in Ireland can watch Strictly Come Dancing live on iPlayer using a VPN and Sky customers can watch the series on catch-up. Make sure to clear your calendars on 20 December to tune in to the Strictly Come Dancing 2025 final!

YouTuber George Clarke wowed the crowd with a controlled and fluid American smooth. His ambitious performance featured lifts that stars don’t usually have the chutzpah to attempt until much later in the competition.Ā In week two, judges praised him for another captivating performance. Shirley Ballas asked what we were all wondering: ā€œCould we potentially be looking at a frontrunner here?ā€ His TikToks with partner, Alexis Warr, show us what’s going on behind the scenes (and sequins) in a way we haven’t really seen before. This is attracting an untapped voting demographic and strengthening viewers’ support for the pair.

There’s a slight concern that his audience of teens and young adults aren’t typical Strictly voters – most of them don’t even have TV licences. But Joe Sugg, another British YouTuber, defied these odds and made it all the way to the final in the 2018 series. In the words of Craig Revel Horwood, ā€œLewis better watch his back!"

Lewis Cope began his Strictly journey in the bravest way possible– standing on the judging desk and staring straight through Craig Revel Horwood.Ā This confidence has persevered and carried him through two incredible performances. Emmerdale viewers everywhere were shocked to see Nicky Mulligan deliver a vibrant, showstopping jive. His Viennese waltz began with a solo (brave for week two), which he broke out of to treat us with dramatic long lines and touches of acro.Ā

Cope has divided viewers due to his appearance on the Sky One series Got to Dance. The odds suggest most are looking past this, as his background is in theatre and he featured on the show over ten years ago. We’re excited to see his Strictly journey – if there’s one thing a soap star can do, it’s bring the drama.

Karen Carney to Win: 11/2 at Boylesports

18+. Opt in. Selected UK & IRE players only. Qualifying players will be excluded from other Casino Welcome offers. Min. cash wagering of Ā£/€10 (cumulative). 48 hrs to wager, 24 hrs to play, 168 hrs to play with Bonus (BNS). Max. redeemable Ā£/€500 from BNS. 40x wagering on BNS. Until wagering requirement of Bonus is completed, stakes on other game will be taken from the Cash balance. Once per player. Game, game weighting, player restrictions apply.

The England women's teams are having a great year with football, rugby and… Strictly? The former lioness closed out the first show and delivered a showstopper to remember. Her jaw-dropping jive proved that kicking is a truly transferable skill. There was a lot at stake during her performance in week two, yet she proudly graduated from one-trick pony with a sharp, dramatic tango.Ā As I’ve heard it said, it takes two to tango - and Carlos Gu’s infectious energy and choreography showcase Carney at her very best.Ā As a football pundit, Karen Carney knows as well as us that the odds are turning in her favour.

Vicky Pattison is no stranger to reality TV. Viewers have followed her career since her breakout on Geordie Shore and the odds suggest she might make it from Newcastle all the way to Blackpool.Ā She’s scored modestly so far, making a one-point improvement from 23 to 24 in week two. Regardless, people love her Geordie charm, can-do attitude and relatability. Her partner made it to third place in 2021, so she’s in good hands. Winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! proves that her fans will show up and vote for her - let’s hope they’re watching on Saturday.Ā

Whilst not in the top five predicted to win, La Voix has become a firm fan favourite.Ā Her jive won us over with its humour, heart and the part where she walked Aljaž like a dog. Theatrical undertones shimmer through every step of Aljaž’ choreography, allowing La Voix to inject her razor-sharp personality into every moment. La Voix is catching heat for her provocative comments. Her references to her co-stars, namely the one who grew up ā€œdoing tap in Billy Elliotā€ have met mixed reception: some call it poor sportsmanship, others appreciate the acknowledgement of the contestants’ different dance backgrounds.Ā

Many viewers plan to root for La Voix based on her acerbic wit alone. One fan on X wrote, ā€œLa Voix coming for Tess each week is so funny. She needs to make the final for this alone.ā€ Regardless of reasoning, thousands are going to keep voting for La Voix – the question is, how far?

Conclusion

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is shaping up to be one of the most cutthroat competitions that’s ever graced the ballroom. All the stars found their rhythm quickly this year, which makes it extra hard to predict who will lift the glitterball in December.Ā Considering the last two weeks of performances and previous years’ voting patterns, I think George Clarke is a likely winner. He quickly gained the love of Strictly fans who had no idea who he was and converted his tech-native demographic to Saturday night TV.Ā

Viewers’ preexisting loyalties, as always, play an interesting role in the voting process. Vicky Pattison has a proven track record of success in public TV voting, and La Voix has garnered the support of audiences who don’t typically even watch Strictly.

Whatever happens, we’re in for a treat - keep dancing!
