England began their World Cup campaign with a stunning 4-2 win over Croatia in their opening Group L match.
A Harry Kane brace along with goals from Jude Bellingham and Marcus Rashford sealed the three points for Thomas Tuchel’s team.
Ghana were pushed all the way in their 1-0 victory over Panama in their tournament opener. The Black Stars required a stoppage time goal from Caleb Yirenkyi to snatch the win and deny Panama a first-ever World Cup point.
It was far from convincing and a major improvement will be needed if Carlos Queiroz's team are to avoid defeat against the group leaders.
England are strong favourites to win at just 2/9 (1.22). The draw is 21/4 (6.25) and a win for Ghana is 12/1 (13.0).
England have goals in them, but they look slightly shaky at the back. We expect the English to win 3-1, 2-1 or 3-0.
Why You Should Tail the Bet:
England are the No.4 ranked team in the world, while Ghana are down in 65th place.
The Three Lions have Harry Kane in top form. He has scored three goals in his past three internationals.
England have scored seven goals in their last two matches and look to be hitting form at the right time.
Ghana only had 37 percent possession against Panama and also conceded more shots at goal and shots on target.
The Black Stars have scored just four goals in their last five matches.
Pre-World Cup, they went four games without a win, losing friendlies against Austria (5-1), Germany (2-1) and Mexico (2-0). They also drew 0-0 with Wales.
The results show that the Black Stars struggle when they step up in class.
England vs. Ghana: Team News
Thomas Tuchel opted to start Noni Madueke ahead of Bukayo Saka for England’s opening match against Croatia. The England boss could reverse that decision and start with Saka against Ghana.
Elsewhere, he looks set to again leave Marc Guehi on the bench and stick with the centre half pairing of Ezri Konsa and John Stones.
Ghana suffered an injury blow in the win over Panama when goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi was forced to go off at half time. He was replaced by 21-year-old understudy Benjamin Asare who looks set to be required again to face England.
England vs. Ghana: Predicted Lineups
We expect England to line up like this:
Jordan Pickford, Reece James, Ezri Konsa, John Stones, Nico O'Reilly, Elliot Anderson, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Jude Bellingham, Anthony Gordon, Harry Kane.
And Ghana should line up as follows:
Benjamin Asare, Gideon Mensah, Jerome Opoku, Jonas Adjetey, Marvin Senaya, Caleb Yirenkyi, Elisha Owusu, Antoine Semenyo, Ernest Nuamah, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew.
