When I first laid my eyes upon Football Star Deluxe, I noticed the background was a blurred-out image of a football stadium. This is the perfect setting for a game themed around football, however as there was no movement from the background, I thought it made the game look quite static. I didn’t think this was the best fit to represent the beautiful game, considering how dynamic football is. The grid itself is floating in front of the stadium, which I think breaks the immersion of the game slightly, as it doesn’t seamlessly tie into the visuals. With that all said, we should never judge a book by its cover, as the game more than makes up for it with dynamic gameplay.

If you’re a football fan or an iGaming nut, it’s definitely worth giving Football Star Deluxe a try. I found that the game had many exciting features and was particularly impressed with how the wild symbols come in a stack, which essentially means that you’re much more likely to hit multiple wilds compared to other games.
