Don’t let the simple name fool you, as the game has a very clear and fun visual design. Whilst the background is a little plain with green artificial grass, the detail lies in the game’s symbols which are anthropomorphic characters. There are red and yellow cards that look very annoyed, a stopwatch that is very pleased with its job, two smiley goalkeeper gloves, a happy golden trophy and a goofy shoe creature. The shoe symbol takes wacky to the next level, with teeth sprouting from its sole and an eye emerging from its side.
These funky characters add a real element of fun to the game, taking a very unexpected route from the usual aesthetic of a football-themed game. I really enjoyed this unique direction the game took, as I found it simply more imaginative than going down the realism route.
