Omni-channel casino software provider and games developer, Playtech, has rolled out Dirty Dancing, their latest branded video slots game. The progressive jackpot game was developed following the signing of a licensing agreement between Playtech and the film production company, Lionsgate. Dirty Dancing is available for play via desktop and mobile channels.

Dirty Dancing is based on the iconic 1980s film by the same name, starring Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey. The game has 5 reels and 40 paylines, along with whirling wilds, free spins with multipliers, a pick-me game and two progressive jackpot levels.

The two jackpot levels include Johnny and the Baby jackpots. There is the Dirty Dancing jackpot game which is a pick-me game that awards cash prizes. The Whirling Wilds feature leaves a trail of between 2 and 6 wilds and the Mambo Free Games feature awards up to 35 free spins with expanding wilds.

“Dirty Dancing is such an iconic brand that it was an obvious choice for us to transform into a leading branded slot,” announced James Frendo, casino director at Playtech. “The game is sure to be an instant hit with our licensees’ players, both old and new.”

All the main characters from the film feature in the game, along with a vinyl record, dancing shoes and a classic 1950s sports car. The retro-designed game has been released in time for the film’s 30th anniversary.

“Thirty years after its arrival, the original ‘nobody puts Baby in a corner’ Dirty Dancing remains a deeply memorable classic that helped define a generation of cinema,” stated Peter Levin, president of interactive ventures and games at Lionsgate. “We’re proud to work with great partners like Playtech to leverage our unique properties to connect with fans around the world.”
