Fat Drac: Here's What I Think

Push Gaming’s Fat Drac is a vampiric 5x5 slot that features gothic yet fun, cartoonish visuals and some exciting bonus games. Whilst the high volatility of this slot may lead to players not hitting the bonus games that often, I had a great time with this charming slot.

Here are Some Screenshot I Took of the Game

When I first found myself on the footpath to the castle of the legendary vampire, Fat Drac, I was in awe at its animation style. A combination of characterised visuals and detailed graphics, Fat Drac is a really visually impressive slot. I really liked that the paytable has a gothic style, equipped with gargoyles and skulls, but what stood out to me the most was the castle in the background. The paytable marks the beginning of a windy road leading to a massive castle that brings the spooky vibes I’m after in a horror slot.

Should You Play the Fat Drac Slot?

Yeah, you and all the Halloween fans out there should give Fat Drac a go, as there’s plenty of things that make the slot great. One thing that can’t be ignored about the game, is its huge 50,000x maximum win, which is the stuff of every bettor’s dreams. One slight downside is the noise that plays when you do win, a single note on the piano, that isn’t that celebratory and is often entirely out of time with the backing music. However, there are loads of bonus games for you to enjoy as a player. My favourite was Fat Drac himself, as the little dude can trigger multiple effects for you.

One thing that didn’t quite work for me was how high the volatility was. In my experience, the bonus games felt harder to trigger and resulted in a lot of base game play, which is a shame because the bonus games are great. Visually, Fat Drac has a great aesthetic going for it, with a cohesive combination of horror and cartoonish elements. That being said, whilst everything looks great, I was unsure who the angry red-headed guy was or what vampires have to do with bubbles.

  • 🤑 50,000x maximum win
  • 🎁 Plenty of fun bonus games
  • ✨ A great mix of fun and fiendish visuals
  • 📢 Jarring win noise
  • ⚡High volatility
  • 😵 Some unclear symbols

How to Place Your First Bet on Fat Drac?

Placing a bet on Fat Drac is really easy to do and only takes a few moments, just like getting turned into a vampire. To start, you'll have to find a casino that carries the vampiric myth. Luckily, Irishluck has you covered, we’ve got plenty of lists of all sorts of online casinos. Have a flick through one of these lists and find a casino you like.

  1. Before you do, you’ll need to set yourself up with an account at your chosen casino. If you’ve already got one sorted, ignore this bit entirely and skip to step 4. You can do so by whacking the ‘Sign Up’ or ‘Register’ button, that’s often located in the top right corner and following the process.

  2. First, the casino will ask you to give some personal information, like your name, date of birth and address.

  3. After that, you’ll need to verify your identity through some Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. Complete any of these sent your way.

  4. Now you’ve got an account sorted, you’ll either be redirected to Fat Drac or you’ll have to manually search for him using the casino’s search bar.

  5. When you first load up Fat Drac, the site will hint at some of the bonus games the slot has. After reading the hints, click anywhere to open up the game.

  6. Now you’ll be directed to the actual game, but before you click the spin button, feel free to familiarise yourself with how the slot works by clicking the menu button. You can adjust your bet by clicking the bet icon, toggle sounds off and on or select the autoplay or turbo spin options. Once you’ve mastered that, you’re all set to meet good old Drac.

My First Moments Playing Fat Drac

When I first opened up Fat Drac, the first things that jumped out at me and yelled boogedy boogedy boo, were the visuals and sounds of the game. Both bring in elements of cartoonish fun and gothic horror themes, which results in an interesting aesthetic.

A Mix of Horror and Whimsy

Fat Drac does a great job with capturing the horror aesthetic in a fun, cartoonish style. The slot’s symbols embody this, with even the low paying symbols being stylised as brightly coloured gothic etchings of playing card symbols. The high paying symbols are very fun, featuring vampire teeth in a jar, complete with their gums still intact, a quill and parchment, a skeleton dressed in finery and an angry red headed man who looks like he could be a vampire hunter or something like that.

The Sound of Fat Drac

The backing music is appropriately creepy, but also fun, resulting in an eerie, cheery piano heavy song. One part of the song ends on an off-note, which adds to the song’s fun mix of styles. I liked the song, and it’s longer than most backing tracks, which stops it from getting repetitive. However, when you get a win, the slot celebrates by playing the sound of a piano note. This is regardless of what part the song’s at, and results in some jarring combinations.

Let's Talk About the Bonus Games You'll Find

Fat Drac has some great bonus games that really transformed its gameplay for me. You can find the full list of them here or in the game’s menu.

Fat Drac

The main man himself, Fat Drac acts as a revealing symbol when he rocks up, using his dark powers he can transform into any paying symbol, or a bat. When you land a Fat Drac symbol and a goblet symbol, you’ll trigger five free spins.

In the free spins bonus round, you’ll venture into Drac’s castle which is reflected in the castle-themed reel change. For these spins, your Fat Drac symbol will stick around and whenever you hit a goblet symbol, he’ll drink it down, collecting the symbol and growing larger. He can even grow to cover the entire 5x5 reel. This will fill the Drac meter, and when you get to a specific number of goblets on the Drac meter, you can exchange them for more free spins. A 1x1 Fat Drac will reveal one symbol, a 2x2 Fat Drac will reveal four symbols, a 3x3 Fat Drac will reveal nine symbols, a 4x4 Fat Drax will reveal 16 symbols and a 5x5 Fat Drac will reveal 25 symbols.

Bats and Bubbles

When Fat Drac turns into a bat symbol, he’ll fly over and pop one of the bubbles on the left hand side of the reel. These contain varying multipliers that will be awarded to you, with the amount awarded depending on which bubble the bat decides to pop.

The Fat Bat

You can randomly summon the Fat Bat, who will collect all the bubbles and award you to the total amount.

The Coffin

When you land a coffin symbol, you’ll be able to play a Pick mini game. Here you’ll be shown four different tiles with varying amounts of bat symbols displayed. These tiles will then be flipped face down and shuffled, and you’ll have to pick one. When you do, you’ll get that many bat symbols, with a maximum of five bat symbols possible. Once you have triggered free spins, the coffin can reveal 1-5 free spins, one goblet symbol or up to five bat symbols.

Some Technical Considerations About Fat Drac

I read the ancient scrolls revealing the more technical aspects of Fat Drac, and found a few things of note. The game has a hypothetical RTP of 96.57%, which is a little more than the average amount of 96%. At Irishluck we don’t recommend playing any game with an RTP lower than 96%, so Drac makes the cut! Fat Drac is a game with high volatility, which means that it theoretically pays out less frequently than games with low volatility, but does so in larger amounts.

Why Do I Think Fat Drac Stands Out?

Ultimately, I thought Fat Drac was lots of fun, due to its huge max win and other great qualities. While the strange noise that plays when you win is a little jarring and the high volatility may not be for everyone, I still had such a great time playing the bonus games and the grand design is spooky enough to chill even the toughest Irish bettors. No garlic required for this slot, just a love of all things Halloween.
