Racing Post has extended its partnership with Playtech subsidiary Best Gaming Technology (BGT) to launch a new horse racing and greyhounds product through the retail betting shops of a number of operators in the UK.
The product has gone live on more than 12,000 Self Service Betting Terminals across the retail estates of UK-based Ladbrokes and Ireland-based Paddy Power, in addition to numerous independent bookmakers, such as Ireland’s Boylesports and the UK’s Jenningsbet, Chisholms and Corbetts.
The BGT terminal product allows players to make informed betting decisions through a range of early, board and starting prices. The product has been developed using Racing Post’s digital content, including its race cards, results, key stats, trainer and jockey information, race predictors and Spotlight tips.
“This product is another example of how we are helping to modernise retail betting, allowing punters to access a host of digital benefits,” announced Mark Renshaw, Racing Post Managing Director of Digital. “Here, they can access our expert content and place a bet all in one place with a simple, yet sophisticated experience.”
The terminals will also be supported by a new Bet Filter tool, which allows customers to shortlist daily runners according to specific criteria and find their best betting opportunity. According to BGT, this product has been the most used feature on the terminals.
“Partnering with Racing Post has given us access to an unrivalled set of proprietary data and content,” stated John Pettit, BGT Managing Director – UK and Ireland. “We have been able to create and bring to market a unique offering and bet prompts that add value to customers and generates incremental revenues for bookmakers.”
According to Irish bookmaker, Paddy Power, the feedback has been positive from customers and shop staff, and customers have been enjoying using the new product.
