A New Zealander, Rawiri Pou, has won a $10.1 million payout on the Mega Moolah slots game from Microgaming while playing at Casinoland.com. The win is another notch in Microgaming’s belt of massive jackpot payouts.
Microgaming’s Mega Moolah slots game holds the Guinness World Record for the largest online slots jackpot ever won. The record was awarded when Jon Heywood won €17,880,900 while playing the game at Betway Casino. However, it has created numerous millionaires with Pou becoming the latest one.
Pou, a 27 year old KFC worker, was having a lucky streak on Friday, June 17. While playing the game at home, Pou won $1,500. Instead of collecting his winnings, he decided to roll them over and instead walked away with a whopping $10,144,395.82.
Pou says he is still in shock and that “right now, the amount is too big to comprehend.”
“We’re all thrilled for Rawiri,” commented a spokesman for Casinoland. “It’s a life-changing amount of money and we wish him the very best for the future. His achievement has shown that Casinoland has the games and jackpots to deliver record-breaking wins and we hope that Rawiri is the first of many progressive jackpot winners here at Casinoland.”
Mega Moolah is a 5 reel, 25 payline video slots game with an African safari theme. Players will be taken deep into the savannah where they will come into contact with wild African animals. The game features include a wild symbol that multiplies any win it helps to create by two, a scatter symbol and a free spins bonus with 15 free spins and a 3x multiplier. There are four progressive jackpots and once you randomly trigger the jackpot round, you are guaranteed to win one of them.
