London-listed gaming company, Jackpotjoy Plc, has promoted Irina Cornides and named her chief executive of their flagship online brand, the Jackpotjoy gaming division. Based out of Gibraltar, Cornides will report directly to chief executive of Jackpotjoy Plc, Andrew McIver.

Cornides will be responsible for maintaining the relationship between Jackpotjoy Plc and the Jackpotjoy gaming division, setting the strategic direction for the company and supervising the operation of the brand. She will be the executive intermediary between Jackpotjoy Plc and Gamesys, the operations company for the Jackpotjoy brands and assets.

“Irina will be tasked with maintaining the existing strong relationship between the two parties, along with helping to set the strategic direction for the Jackpotjoy division and overseeing the running of the brands after the earn-outs conclude,” a statement from Jackpotjoy governance read.

Chief executive McIver added: “We are delighted that Irina has accepted a key role in our operating subsidiary, as she brings a wealth of experience and has demonstrated her ability to successfully grow and maintain our businesses.”

“Irina has a deep understanding of the Jackpotjoy business and our relationships with Gamesys, who fully support her appointment.”

Cornides has moved into her new position from Intertain Bahamas, the former holding company for Jackpotjoy assets, where she held the position of chief revenue officer. She has also held positions of managing director at Mandalay Media before it was acquired by Intertain and at Party Gaming, both pre- and post-IPO.

“I am very excited about this role; although Jackpotjoy is already the leading bingo brand in the UK, we have big plans to further enhance player experience and grow the business,” stated Ms Cornides. “I look forward to working with the team to deliver the next phase of the jackpotjoy division.”
