Asian online betting company, SBOBET, has signed a partnership deal with two Irish football clubs, expanding their market share in the Irish football industry. The company will be the official betting partner of Cork City Football Club and St Patrick’s Athletic FC.
In March, Celton Manx, the parent company of SBOBET, signed a deal to become the official partner of Dundalk FC. Now, the company has signed agreements with two more Irish football clubs. The deal with Cork City Football Club will allow the SBOBET brand to be promoted during matches at the club’s home grounds at Turner’s Cross and on their website.
“These are exciting times for Cork City and we have high hopes for the coming season, so to be partnering with the respected name of Celton Manx and the worldwide trusted SBOBET brand means the future’s looking even brighter. This is great news for the club,” announced Timmy Murphy, chief executive at Cork City.
Chief executive of Celton Manx, Bill Mummery added: “We’re pleased to be associated with Cork City and to be strengthening our ties with the Republic of Ireland. We shall follow the club’s progress this season with great interest.”
SBOBET announced a deal with St. Patrick’s Athletic FC on Thursday, making it the third League of Ireland Premier Division club that the company has partnered with. This deal will see the SBOBET brand promoted at the club’s home grounds at Richmond Park and on their website.
“We’re proud to be recognised by such an internationally well-known name in online sports betting as SBOBET,” said Frank Kinsella, commercial manager at St. Patrick’s. “It’s also great to be working with Celton Manx, a company that clearly shares our commitment to supporting the local community and providing opportunities to encourage people to be the best they can.”
