PartyPoker Signs Irish Ambassador to its Team

PartyPoker has announced a new brand ambassador for Ireland. The online poker room has signed a sponsorship deal with Irish poker pro, Padraig Parkinson, who will join their brand ambassador team.

PartyPoker has been expanding its team of brand ambassadors over the last year with the aim of expanding within old markets and penetrating new markets in order to grow its player database around the world. The latest addition of Parkinson is significant for the Irish market and he will join names such as Beata Jambrik, Boris Becker, Carl Froch, Jackie Glazier, Jan-Peter Jachtmann, Joao Simao, Mike Sexton, Roberto Romanello, Sam Trickett and Tony Dunst.

“It is a pleasure to have Padraig join the PartyPoker team as an ambassador and we are delighted to have such a highly regarded and well-known professional representing us in the Irish market,” announced Tom Waters, Group Head of PartyPoker.

Parkinson, who has played in the Irish poker circuit for more than twenty years, has won close to $1.8 million in live poker tournaments, including the first ever UKIPT Galway Main Event.

He will begin his ambassadorship representing PartyPoker at the Northern Cup in the Green Isle Hotel on January 21, followed by the Grand Prix Cork at the Macau Sporting Club in Cork, Ireland from February 23-26. He will then play in the £6 million guaranteed MILLIONS at Dusk Till Dawn Casino in Nottingham from April 10-23. He will tour the Irish poker circuit throughout 2017 under the banner of PartyPoker.

“I am proud to join the PartyPoker team of ambassadors and am extremely excited about the live opportunities that PartyPoker LIVE will bring to Ireland in 2017,” commented Parkinson. “With the support of PartyPoker, I look forward to continuing my work to grow the Irish poker community.”
