Swedish casino software provider, Net Entertainment, has launched a new slot game, expanding their portfolio available to players. Butterfly Staxx went live at NetEnt casinos on June 21. It is developed in HTML5 for play via desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
Butterfly Staxx is a 5 reel, 40 payline video slot game with a bright and colourful butterfly theme. Most notably, it includes the SuperStaxx feature, a unique feature from the software provider that was first introduced in the 1980’s retro-themed game, Neon Staxx.
The symbols include vividly-coloured flowers and yellow neon butterflies which stand out on the transparent reels with a night scene behind them. The game offers a range of features, including the re-spin SuperStaxx feature, a free spins bonus round and wild substitutions.
Each time a full reel of butterflies lands, all of the butterflies on the reel will fly toward the left of the screen to create staxx, starting on reel one. This triggers one free re-spin with the butterflies held in place and this will continue as long as more butterfly symbols appear. The game also features a free spins bonus round that awards up to seven free spins with all symbols replaced by cocoons, from which a butterfly will emerge if the symbol lights up. When a butterfly emerges, it will fly to the left most position on the reels and remain sticky for the rest of the feature.
“The release of Butterfly Staxx builds on a series of fantastic NetEnt game launches in 2017,” announced Simon Hammon, chief product officer at NetEnt.
“With it’s vivid and enchanting graphics – in the popular low poly design – combined with classic gameplay and features, I’m sure Butterfly Staxx will be a successful addition to our award-winning portfolio.”
