Swedish online casino software provider, Net Entertainment, has appointed Therese Hillman as their new chief financial officer, to replace Maria Hedengren who announced in June that she would be leaving the company after leading the financial department since 2011.
“I’m very pleased to welcome Therese Hillman to NetEnt; her experience as CFO and CEO in a digital growth company will make her a strong contribution to the senior management team at NetEnt,” announced Per Eriksson, chief executive of NetEnt.
Hillman, who will be taking up the position on January 9, 2017, will be stepping down from the board of directors of Unibet Group. She has been a director of Unibet and a member of its audit committee since 2015 and will step down from these positions to avoid conflict of interest with her new appointment.
Hillman has also held the position of chief executive of Gymgrossisten, a subsidiary of the Qliro Group, for the past five years where she was previously CFO. In this position, she was responsible for establishing and implementing the Gymgrossisten vision. She holds a Masters of Science (MSc) in Accounting and Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as a degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Virginia.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Therese for her dedicated and professional work as a board member at Unibet Group,” commented Anders Ström, chairman at Unibet. “She has added a great deal of knowledge and experience to the board and it is of course with regret we accept her decision to leave the board.”
“On behalf of the entire board and our owners I would like to wish Therese the best of luck in her new role.”
