Ireland’s Boylesports has become the latest independent bookmaker to sign a contract with Playtech BGT Sports. It has rolled out their BetTracker mobile app which is available via iOS and Android to boost their omni-channel capabilities.
Via the BetTracker app players are able to transfer and cash-out the bets they placed in-shop on self-service betting terminals to their mobile devices by scanning the tickets. There is no requirement for punters to have an online profile and they are then able to visit any of the Boylesports’ retail outlets to collect their winnings in cash.
Boylesports joins other UK and Irish bookies, Betfred, Corbett’s, JenningsBet and Sean Graham who have already gone live with the product, and it has been revealed that three more independent bookmakers – Chrisholm, David Pluck and Joe Jennings – will roll out the product in the coming weeks.
“BetTracker has been a fantastic addition to the retail sector since its launch, and we’re pleased that many of our existing partners are now offering it to their customers,” commented John Pettit, PBS managing director for the UK, Ireland, Australia and Asia. “The unique app provides players with much greater choice, improving the user experience and in turn, boosting incremental revenue in shops as it attracts new and existing customers alike.”
Boylesports has added this new product in time for the new football season to improve the multi-channel experience of their bettors. Football is the most popular sport with customers betting on PBS terminals which makes the timing of this roll-out ideal as it allows customers to manage and monitor their shop bets on their personal mobile devices.
“With the football season kicking off soon, we are hoping to carry on the momentum, and are confident this roll-out will contribute significantly to that,” added Pettit.
